THE CHALLENGE


So, here's the deal

Approximately one week prior to the (ELEV8)TION GAIN, you will receive an email that has a list of the locations of the 8 obstacle points (the location, not what the obstacle is; we want you to enjoy the surprise). While you are required to go to these points in the order listed, it is up to you to determine the best route between points. You will navigate from point to point completing the obstacles outlined in your email. At the end, you will run the gauntlet and be crowned victorious. The GAIN is not timed; the reward is simply finishing knowing that you chose to RISE UP and push yourself as hard as you possibly could.

 

Obstacles

Do you really think we're going to give this away? We'll just give you a few hints. Obstacles might include, but are not limited to:

  • Push-ups
  • Squats
  • Burpees
  • Star jumps
  • Army crawl
  • Medicine ball toss
  • Timed plank
  • Kettlebells
  • Something involving a tire

Some obstacles will be performed using the Tabata Protocol, which consists of 8 intervals
of 20 seconds of all-out maximal exertion with 10 seconds of rest per exercise.

 

All equipment will be provided by the event staff.
